Online Coding Classes for Class 5 Students

Class 5 is the year most children first ask how apps and games are actually made. They can read fluently, follow multi-step instructions, and are curious enough to sit with a problem for twenty minutes if it feels like play.

CodeMasti's Class 5 learners start with logic, not syntax: sequences, patterns, and simple algorithms through visual blocks, then their first real web page. No prior experience, no typing speed, and no maths beyond school level is needed.

What a Class 5 student learns at CodeMasti

  • How the internet and websites work, explained at a 10-year-old's level
  • Sequencing, patterns and step-by-step thinking with visual blocks
  • A first HTML and CSS web page they can show family
  • Safe, sensible use of everyday AI tools like ChatGPT for learning
  • Debugging habits: reading an error, forming a guess, testing it

Which batch is right for Class 5?

Almost every Class 5 student starts in SPARK. The free CST simply confirms the starting point and checks scholarship eligibility.

SPARK · Beginner track

Understand the web, use AI well, and start thinking like a programmer

₹2,499 registration + ₹1,499/month · 2 live classes/week (Saturday + Sunday) · 8 sessions/month

Every CodeMasti student takes the free CST first. The result decides the batch and the scholarship, so no student is placed by class alone.

Projects Class 5 students build

  1. My first web page. A personal 'about me' page with headings, images and colours, published to a real link.
  2. Pattern maker. A block-based program that draws repeating shapes, teaching loops without the word 'loop'.
  3. Story chooser. A tiny choose-your-own-adventure that introduces conditions and branching.

A typical week

  • 2 live classes (Saturday and Sunday evening, about an hour each)
  • 1 weekly practice challenge with instructor feedback
  • A 15-minute puzzle or pattern set for logic, done at home

Every live class is recorded and available in the student dashboard, with a monthly one-on-one mentor session and a monthly progress update sent to parents.

What parents should know

  • Sessions are short and hands-on; a laptop or desktop is needed, a tablet is not enough.
  • Progress at this age looks like confidence and vocabulary, not lines of code. Expect your child to explain what a website is before they write much of one.
  • Every class is recorded, so a missed Sunday is never a lost week.

Class 5 coding FAQs

Is Class 5 too early to start coding?
No. Class 5 is one of the best starting points because children already read well and enjoy structured play. CodeMasti begins with visual, logic-first activities rather than typing code, so the early weeks feel like puzzles, not programming.
Which programming language does a Class 5 student learn?
Class 5 students at CodeMasti start with visual block programming for logic, then HTML and CSS for a first web page. Python is introduced only at the end of the SPARK track, once the logic foundation is solid.
How long are the classes for Class 5?
Two live classes a week on Saturday and Sunday, eight sessions a month, in small batches of 20 to 25 students. Recordings are available for revision.
