Online Coding Classes for Class 7 Students

Class 7 students are ready to write code as text. They can handle variables, nested conditions and a real editor, and they are old enough to be genuinely interested in how the apps they use are engineered.

This is the class where CodeMasti's SPARK track finishes and BUILDERS begins for many students: the goal is to turn 'I can follow a tutorial' into 'I can design, debug and publish my own thing'.

What a Class 7 student learns at CodeMasti

  • HTML, CSS and an introduction to JavaScript in a real developer setup
  • Loops, state and conditions carried from blocks into text code
  • Python introduction: variables, input and output, simple programs
  • Using Git and the command line for the first time
  • AI as a coding assistant: asking, checking and explaining the result

Which batch is right for Class 7?

Complete beginners in Class 7 start in SPARK; students who already know HTML basics or some Scratch-to-text logic are typically placed in BUILDERS by the free CST.

SPARK · Beginner track

Understand the web, use AI well, and start thinking like a programmer

₹2,499 registration + ₹1,499/month · 2 live classes/week (Saturday + Sunday) · 8 sessions/month

BUILDERS · Intermediate track

Design, code, debug, and publish a working website — with AI as a working assistant

₹2,999 registration + ₹1,999/month · 2 live classes/week (Saturday + Sunday) · 8 sessions/month

Every CodeMasti student takes the free CST first. The result decides the batch and the scholarship, so no student is placed by class alone.

Projects Class 7 students build

  1. Interactive landing page. A styled web page with a button that responds to clicks, introducing the DOM and events.
  2. Number guessing game in Python. Loops, conditions and randomness in a program students play with friends.
  3. Weekly planner app. A small browser app that stores tasks, teaching lists and state.

A typical week

  • 2 live classes (Saturday and Sunday evening, about an hour each)
  • 1 weekly practice challenge with instructor feedback
  • 20 minutes of Python or JavaScript practice from the dashboard

Every live class is recorded and available in the student dashboard, with a monthly one-on-one mentor session and a monthly progress update sent to parents.

What parents should know

  • Expect real code on screen this year. A laptop with VS Code and a stable connection matters more than in Class 5 or 6.
  • Class 7 is a good year to take the free CST even if you are unsure; it tells you honestly whether your child should begin at SPARK or BUILDERS.
  • Recordings, weekly challenges and a monthly mentor session keep students on track between weekends.

Class 7 coding FAQs

Should a Class 7 student learn Python or web development first?
Both, in a sequence. CodeMasti teaches web basics first for quick visible wins, then Python for logic and problem solving. By the end of BUILDERS, a Class 7 student is comfortable in both.
My child has done Scratch. Which batch is right?
Take the free CST. Scratch experience often means the student is ready for BUILDERS, where block logic is carried into JavaScript and Python. If the test shows gaps, SPARK fills them quickly.
Are the classes live or recorded for Class 7?
Live, on Saturday and Sunday, in batches of 20 to 25. Every session is also recorded and available in the student dashboard for revision or catch-up.
