Online Coding Classes for Class 9 Students

Class 9 students think in systems. They want to know not just how to make a button work, but how a whole app is put together, and many are already curious about AI, hackathons and what a tech career looks like.

At CodeMasti, Class 9 is usually the BUILDERS year with a fast on-ramp to INNOVATORS: students ship a real website, become fluent in Python, and start using AI and data tools with judgement rather than blind trust.

What a Class 9 student learns at CodeMasti

  • Python beyond basics: functions, lists, dictionaries, file handling
  • JavaScript, the DOM and building interactive browser apps
  • Git, GitHub and deploying projects to public URLs
  • How AI models work at a conceptual level, and how to use them for coding responsibly
  • Preparing a project portfolio for school, olympiads and hackathons

Which batch is right for Class 9?

Class 9 students with some coding background go to BUILDERS; students who already know Python and JavaScript are placed in INNOVATORS. True beginners start in SPARK for one term. The free CST decides.

BUILDERS · Intermediate track

Design, code, debug, and publish a working website — with AI as a working assistant

₹2,999 registration + ₹1,999/month · 2 live classes/week (Saturday + Sunday) · 8 sessions/month

INNOVATORS · Advanced track

Ship a full-stack project, compete in code, and add a real AI feature — with security and ethics in view

₹3,499 registration + ₹2,499/month · 2 live classes/week (Saturday + Sunday) · 8 sessions/month

Every CodeMasti student takes the free CST first. The result decides the batch and the scholarship, so no student is placed by class alone.

Projects Class 9 students build

  1. Personal portfolio site. A deployed multi-page portfolio with project write-ups, hosted from a GitHub repository.
  2. Data project in Python. Reading a CSV, cleaning it and producing simple charts and summaries.
  3. Browser game. A JavaScript game with scoring, timers and levels, built and published end to end.

A typical week

  • 2 live classes (Saturday and Sunday evening, about an hour each)
  • 1 weekly practice challenge with instructor feedback
  • One timed problem set for speed and accuracy, plus capstone work

Every live class is recorded and available in the student dashboard, with a monthly one-on-one mentor session and a monthly progress update sent to parents.

What parents should know

  • Class 9 is a good year to build a portfolio before board-exam pressure starts. Every project is documented on GitHub.
  • Students interested in competitions get contest-style practice; the INNOVATORS track adds data structures and algorithms.
  • Live classes are on weekends so they do not clash with school or tuition; recordings cover any misses.

Class 9 coding FAQs

Which coding course is best for a Class 9 student?
One that produces a portfolio, not just certificates: live classes, weekly projects, Git and deployment. CodeMasti's BUILDERS and INNOVATORS tracks are built around that outcome and place Class 9 students by skill via the free CST.
Can a Class 9 student learn AI and machine learning?
Yes, with Python fluency first. INNOVATORS covers what machine learning really is, the Python data stack, model evaluation, how LLMs work and shipping a real AI feature, always after the logic and Python foundation is solid.
How much does a Class 9 coding class cost?
BUILDERS is ₹2,999 registration plus ₹1,999 per month; INNOVATORS is ₹3,499 plus ₹2,499 per month. Both include 8 live sessions a month, recordings, a mentor session and parent updates. Scholarships are decided by the free CST.
